Last was Munich by Spielberg

IMDB info

I recommend it as one of the 'textbook-made films' by this director

Otherwise I am watching now THE 4400 Season 4

Hi!
I am finally here, too  but thought it is not a news important enough for a new topic ;)
Anyways,
recently I have been quite dissappointed with the visual arts, especially after seeing this overrated nonsense The Fauntain... Therefore diceded to stick to the "classics for the soul", such as the Serbian movie When I Grow Up I Will Become a Cangaroo
And whoever says that 300 is a good movie will have their skulls blown off, I swear

MadHatter,

300 is a good movie if you can appreciate naked fit men :)

Last movie I watched was I-see-you.com. Some kind of comedy, I guess. US comedy. About a teenager who starts real-time online show with his family's private life which leads to disaster.

Last movie that I liked was the "The Mirror mask"

Link here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MirrorMask
Reviews here - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mirrormask/

If I did not know for sure that the director is different, I could swear that this was Guillermo del Toro who directed Laberinto del fauno (Pan's labyrinth)

I enjoyed the movie very much.

Moon to - Protégé (International: English title)

Moon to @ IMDB

Recently hadn't seen such a moving movie. Indeed. Also it's an Asian production and it's not a special effect marvel - rather it's a scenario/directing marvel and really reminds me of the directing style of the Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu with his 21 Grams and Babel movies.

Well, in one line the question is:

Why people take drugs? It's all because of inner emptiness.
Tell me what's worse? The emptiness or the drugs? I have no idea.

This film is a good blend of Asian Drug mafia affairs on one side and hopeless life of poor ordinary victims of narcosis through the eyes and actions of one very good and fair cop under cover.

And although I like our main hero Daniel Wu my favorite actress is still the small Jane Jane :!:

Enjoy

P.S. Svilena, I found today the Tell No One movie, will try to watch it soon..

The French short film which you sent me - "Straight To The Heart"
(http://www.ifilm.com/video/2679014?cmpn ... ID_2679014)
It reminded me of the French Cinematography's Week in Varna this year and our live in Veliko Turnovo.

Nice short film, reminds me of City of Angels and the french movie Amelie from Montmartre.. both recommended.

Here is one popular Bulgarian Short Movie production:
You Are It. It's really well done and worth considering.

Mongol

Postby triers on Thu Oct 18, 2007 9:33 pm

I'd like to draw attention to this international production.

Mongol
The story recounts the early life of Genghis Khan who was a slave before going on to conquer half the world including Russia in 1206.

Mongol @ IMDB

My comments are that after my great disappintment with 300 which is just a mambo-jambo of 3DFx and muscle men and little meaning at all I was most pleasently susrpised by this non-US international production.

Mongol is maybe not the most exact film story about the great Genghis Khan but is a 100% percent visual and soul pleasure since it's very well done - no commercial tricks here and lots of meaning and beauty..

P.S. Let me also recommend you another favorite: Hero
