Millennium Development Goals Monitor Web Page
As all of you may heard about the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG) which aim reducing poverty by 2015. We hear, in the news, about different world summits and policymakers' discussions towards achieving the MDGs. The thing is that the MDG commitment was established in 2000 and so far there is no clear data what has been achieved so far. Today I've found a web page which was made by Google with cooperation with Cisco. In a joint announcement Google, Cisco and the United Nations said that the site is designed to follow up the progress in achieving the goals.
So the web page is called Millennium Development Goals Monitor site and you can check it here: http://www.mdgmonitor.org/ Google's main role in that project was to built in its Google Earth application which to let site uses to explore Earth's regions which need help and monitor whether the MDG's initiatives have been in progress, what has been reached and what yet is to be done.

By making the world’s successes and challenges in human development just a mouse click away, MDG Monitor hopes to rally new resources and help build momentum for achieving a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
