Where Have You Been, What Have You Done?

Postby triers on Sat Sep 08, 2007 10:54 pm

If you couldn't get the purpose of this topic by it's name my question here is:

Which countries have you traveled to and what experience you have had there? Something that 's worth mentioning or showing on a picture or link in Google Maps.

Let me share my experience which is mostly European since this is my continent - have been to Belgium, Holland, France, Greece(x2) and Turkey.

Last I was in Greece - wonderful country with ancient history. Visit Meteora if you like monasteries. I still haven't been to the Acropolis - this would be one of my next targets maybe :)

Well, I'd love to go to Africa, South America and Asia too..

Home, Bitter-Sweet Home

Good to be back of course after two weeks at the center of Western Europe..

Belgium is a nice country, especially if you go for longer and learn the way people there live and behave.

I had the chance for being on some of their celebrations and also see some unique masterpieces and documents of Leonardo Da Vinci, the true genius of Renaissance and early science approach.

Hey, I am just back from one of the greatest cities in the World..

Istanbul..Constantinople..Tzarigrad

It was truly amazing, this is my second visit there and again I was very very pleased!

Istanbul's long and controversial history and location make him one of the most interesting cities in the "Old World". It's charm and beauty nowadays carry both the charm of Oriental culture and the modernity of European influence. Today this is a 16M Megalopolis and again as it has always been a center of religion, culture and commerce.

Alessandro, I am very happy you are a member of ToT! Especially because I know what's your mission here in Varna and generally in EVS. But maybe most of the other people don't know the idea behind EVS - European Volunteering Service? If you can tell us more :)
